Tis me SaucyLady from down under, came to New Zealand 30 years ago from York, England. Truly a Yorkshire lass at heart! I was married for 27 years but now am a single lady.

I have 2 children, Scott & Keely, both at the University.

I study the Computer and work as a Consultant for a Wardrobe company as well as looking after the accounts. I also take in Home-stay students that come here to study English, they come from Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and China - they learn to speak Yorkshire pretty quick, and learn how to cook.

I enjoy gardening and like landscaping, a very good relaxation. Most of all I enjoy the 40+ Coffeehouse, a real neat bunch of people.

I’m 42 years old, married to another nut who goes by the nick of HooMan when he’s chatting. We have two boys ages 6 and 8, plus I have two older kids by a first disaster that are 13 (daughter) and 18 (son). I was born in California and grew up in Sacramento. I met my now husband and moved to Washington state (where he is from) and lived there for 7 dreadful years until we compromised and moved to Oregon where I’m now very happy. I’m a homemaker at this time although I do web pages for extra money. Husband is a computer tech and works for a computer wholesale company...that might explain why we are a 3 computer family all networked together. My hobbies include Chatting, reading, writing, my 4 birds (two cockatoo’s, a cockatiel, and a conure), watching good movies, and all kinds of music. I’m also a romantic at heart and love roses. I guess that’s about all there is to say except if you find yourself in channel with me, duck, run, or hide..because I’m sure to be up to something :)

Snook^ (AKA tkd^) tells her own story

I am a 41 year old (almost 42) wife and mother of 3 very handsome young men, who are 1st dan black belts in Tae Kwon Do, thus my former nick. I reside on the West side of Portland, Oregon with my wonderful husband of 15 years, and 2 dogs, one a black lab, and one a chocolate lab. My husband and I own a Construction business mainly installing siding and building decks. He does the manual labor and I handle the computer work (irc included).

I have been coming into the coffehouse almost a year and I love the people I have met there. You can't find a more wonderful group of people. I have made many friends there and met many interesting people from all walks of life, and many many different countries.

My hobbies include first and foremost IRC, then comes fishing, boating, camping, four wheeling and watching my kids participate in their sport. I have a sideline business making and selling business cards and related stuff. Computers also are included in my list of hobbies. I also work for my brother-in-law who owns a Computer support company.

I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed my time in the coffeehouse and how much I enjoy meeting and talking and joking with the people who gather there. It makes my day more interesting, and breaks the monotany of everyday life.

Snugles^ is a lady, 48 living in beautiful picturesque Vancouver, B.C. Canada. Her daughter who is ten is the "apple of her eye". She is proud of her sons 21, a computer technician and 18 who is finishing Grade 12.

She loves to talk on IRC with her friends, is a writer of poetry, lobbies for family issues and sends warmest wishes to all her friends at Coffeehouse.

Hi! My name is Barb and I live near Seattle Washington. I was born in Bellingham Washington, and moved to this area when I was four years old. As of this writing (10/97) I am 44 years old, single and have 3 wonderful sons Chris 26, Kevin 21 and Colin 11.

I am a self employed person and work in the home healthcare field, and also have just restarted my Avon Business, selling to friends, neighbors and family. In the past, I had sold Avon for over 10 years part time. I am excited about my return into direct sales, and am hoping, over time, to make this a most successful business.

My hobbies and interests include music, baking, gardening and of course IRC. I have enjoyed having a wonderful garden in the spring and summer over the last few years, and year round tend to my many blooming houseplants which include Gardenias, African Violets, several Christmas Cactus and a Peace Lily.

Much of my time on IRC, besides chatting, is spent trading wavs with friends and I am now in the process of learning to make and perfect wavs of my own. I use the walkman/cassette tape method since I don't have a CD-ROM. :) I also love to share recipes online with friends and am always willing to email one to whoever might be looking for something special.

stunned was definitely an IRC addict...spent most of his time in the attic with the ladies. Favorite things to do was chat, eat, chat, travel, chat, read, chat. He was married to Laurelee for 19 years, 5 granddaughters, 1 son, 3 stepsons and a cat. We said goodbye to him on May 10, 2000. Sureeka I am Sureeka Diane. I guess you could say I'm being held hostage here in Indiana. I am 45, have one daughter at home with me 20 and in a wheelchair named Amy. I am 3/4th Cherokee and 1/4th Irish, "don't ask its a long story." I grew up in Mesa Az, I miss it some days. I have met a really nice guy here on the net, Truck863. He is adorable and a wedding is planned in mid 2000. We're kinda new, but we are so enjoing ourselves.

My name is Donna and I am a 41 year old teacher in Rhode Island. I love teaching and I especially love the type of teaching that I've been  doing for the past ten years or so. I teach kids with significant disabilities in a public high school. There are so many things that I like to do depending on the season, my environment, and of course, my mood. I like to hike, read, dance, dine out, go to the theatre and movies and chat on IRC, to name only a few. I love the ocean: to swim in, to walk at, to think on. I have a passion for traveling, absolutely anywhere and everywhere, but especially Europe and the Caribbean. I've been often told that I look at the world through rose colored glasses and I don't necessarily think that is a bad thing. I consider myself an optimist and lover of life. I'm excited about the future and I know that life holds endless possibilities for me. I plan to fasten my seat belt cause I know it's going to be a bumpy ride, but I'm ready! Smile at me when you see me online, I guarantee that I'll have a smile to return. :-)
